We are seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to support our team at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. The ideal candidate is a self-starting, motivated engineer with exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis tasks on cutting-edge problems in the field of computational fluid dynamics for rockets and spacecraft
  • Provide CFD support of NASA’s Human Landing System (HLS) program
  • Perform meshing/pre-processing of customer geometries
  • Simulate lunar touchdown and ascent phenomena
  • Develop aerothermal environments in a near-vacuum
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of CFD work experience post graduation
  • Experience with applying CFD to external aerodynamics and chemically-reacting flows
Requirements
  • Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 0-5 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
  • Experience with ANSA, Pointwise, Star-CCM+
  • Strong foundation in compressible flows
